Guidance to individual applicants for Support / Grant

Chronic Care Foundation (CCF) offers grants to individuals for research as well as seminars and conferences for skill enhancement or capacity building in the area of Chronic Rheumatic Conditions.

Chronic Care Foundation’s individual grants are intended to provide support to individuals pursuing research or for mid career professionals wanting to undergo capability enhancement or professional training program/ specialty conferences to expand and consolidate their experience, knowledge and skills. In case of Research, fellowship awards are available to both post-doctoral and pre doctoral applicants.
We seek to provide fellowship grants to applicants of the highest academic potential. Fellows/ Scholars are selected without regard to marital status, race, ethnic origin, color, religion, sexual orientation, social background, or other irrelevant distinction. Applications from scholar with disabilities are considered on exactly the same academic grounds as those from other candidates.

Grant/ support will be provided for the following programs in the area of Chronic
- Rheumatic Conditions
- Post doctoral fellowships
- PhD/ M.Phill studies/ fellowships
- Individual research studies
- Workshops
- Training programs
- Skill development programsSpecialty conferences
2.
All applications will be judged on the quality and significance of the proposed project and the applicant's record of achievement and promise.
3.
The research/training/ skill development undertaken must be on a subject within the scope of Chronic Rheumatic conditions.
4.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to arrange in advance for a structured plan for their stay and research/ training in their host country/ university/ hospital in case the fellowship program is carried outside the home state/ city/country.
5.
All applicants will be intimated via e-mail and registered letter about the result of their application after being reviewed by the CCF grant’s committee.

Eligibility criteria

7.
Applicant must be an Indian citizen resident in India.
8.
All applicant  must obtain registration/admission to the program (as mentioned in point no.1) before applying for the grant
Reporting Format
9.
All publications/ thesis resulting from CCF sponsored program should bear the statement: “This study was supported by a grant from the Chronic Care Foundation.”
10.
All applicants, on completion of their fellowship have to submit a copy of their report/ thesis/ article/ working paper/any other publication prepared during the CCF sponsored fellowship period.
11.
All applicants are expected to provide update to CCF via e-mail/ post about the progress of their research/training/program on completion of half of their grant time period. For example if an individual undertakes a skill enhancement program for one year, he/she is expected to send an update report to CCF after completion of 6 months.

Funding

12.
The individual may be granted full or partial amount mentioned in their budget in the application form.
13.
The grant provided to the applicant may include enrolment fee, tuition/ training fee, expenses incurred during field work, book allowance, travel expenses (including air travel economy class), accommodation and a modest living allowance. This arrangement is subject to variation.
14.
CCF will not provide any grants for the travel or living costs of spouse/ partner of the applicant.

All applications forms will be accepted only in the prescribed format.
18.
For applicants wanting to apply for specialty conferences/ skill enhancement program/ short term training programs/ workshops (less than 1 month duration) please use Grant Application form no. 1 (PDF, 172KB)
19.
For applicants wanting to apply for pre/ post doctoral studies, individual research or a long term (i.e. more than one month) training programs please use Grant Application form no. 2. (PDF, 200KB)

Please include a one page cover letter along with your application.
21.
Please ensure that your application form is complete in all respects. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
22. Please note that you will have to submit two copies of the filled application form and supporting documents.
