| PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION CAMPAIGN ON CHRONIC DISEASES |
This initiative comprises of series of educational activities and community based advocacy programs that promote messages about the seriousness of Non Communicable Chronic Diseases (NCCD) to the population at large. These activities stresses on imparting simple, friendly and clear messages on the ravages of chronic diseases, their cause and risks, effects on the individual and in turn their families as well as remedies, management and most of all prevention. |
| Following are the activities under this initiative. |
• Street Theatre
The Street theatre conveys the message on chronic diseases to the audience in Hindi. The play focuses on prevention and early detection of diabetes apart from messages on healthy living and hygiene. The troupes use colourful props, costumes and dholak and leave on-lookers captivated by their performance. |

• Magic Show
The magic show aims to convey the messages on healthy living, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation through a unique and an innovative approach to create awareness. The show is full of entertainment and thrills both, young and old. |

• ‘Aap Ka Swasth, Aap Ke Haath’©
This is a health education program for prevention of non-communicable chronic diseases. The primary purpose of the program is to create awareness and introduce the participants to the subject of chronic diseases, its early detection, prevention, causes, symptoms management and care. At the same time details about the chronic diseases like diabetes, heart diseases, kidney diseases and hypertension are also discussed along with the current scenario of the diseases, as well as its social and economical impact. |
The Health Education Program is conducted by a medical expert who is on the CCF’s panel. The medical expert uses a power point presentation to make the health education interesting and for getting attention as well as for better retention of the content discussed with the audience. |
After the Health Education Program and the discussion round where the audience will have the opportunity of clearing their doubts and one to one interaction, the program would be evaluated basis the feedback received from the audience. |
