The spirit of the CCF
The logo represents CCF’s endeavour of bringing back quality health into the life of people by dealing with three prime diseases and challenges, which are affecting our society today. Three protective blue rings that stand as a sentinel against Diabetes, Cardiovascular & Kidney Diseases. The rings also stand for the CCF’s endeavour of bringing together all the three prime stakeholders, which are the private sector, civil society-Government, and Medical Fraternity on one platform, a true public private partnership for good health.
The blooming flower is the resultant effect of these initiatives, which also represents an artist’s visualisation of a human life with a long, healthy and blossoming life.
The colours of the logo represent the critical organs associated with the diseases mentioned.
The spiritual message of the logo:
The rings represent three critical chakras in the human body as well as the caring hands of the foundation that nurture ‘health’ without which there is no life. The central rising symbol signifies the central life force - the ‘Kundalini’.
Kundalini is a psycho-spiritual energy, the energy of the consciousness, which is thought to reside within the sleeping body, and is aroused either through spiritual discipline or spontaneously to bring new states of consciousness, including mystical illumination.
Yoga Kundalini is an aspect of Shakti, the divine female energy and consort of Shiva. Kundalini is Sanskrit for "snake" or "serpent power," so-called because it is believed to lie like a serpent in the root chakra at the base of the spine, the transcendence of self. The energy then travels up a psychic pathway parallel to the spinal column. The sushumna is the central axis, crisscrossed in a helix by the Ida and pingala. As it rises, the Kundalini activates the chakras in succession.
When the person is in good heath, each chakra clearly shows its own coloration, the number of petal "spokes," and its speed of vibration is even. In poor health, their coloration becomes cloudy and their rotation becomes irregular and sluggish.
Kundalini is also described as liquid fire and liquid light that rises as a person reaches enlightenment in life. The dot on top signifies the third eye (ajna chakra). The chakra is associated with pituitary gland, the pineal gland, intelligence, intuition, and psychic powers called siddhis in Hindu yoga and the petal, right on top signifies the crown chakra where the kundalini rises and unites with Shiva. It is not associated with any glands, but reveals the person’s conscious evolution. In this case, the evolution of understanding and controlling ones health in life. The crown cannot be activated until all of the other chakras are refined and balanced; when activated it brings supreme enlightenment and cosmic consciousness
