Dr. Madhavi Panda is an independent public health consultant based in New Delhi. Having obtained PhD in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, she engages in research in interdisciplinary areas such as behavioral health, reproductive health and public health policy.

Dr. Panda has worked with national and international organizations such as International AIDS Vaccine Initiative and Program for Appropriate Technologies in Health contributing towards project implementation, research management, assessments and evaluation and strategic support for program design, planning and review. She has also served as a consultant for international NGOs such as International Planned Parenthood Federation, Population Council, Save the Children US as well as bilateral agencies such as USAID, GTZ and JICA contributing towards discrete pieces of research and policy analysis. Some of the key commissioned research works relate broadly to Reproductive Health and with specific emphasis on contraception, abortion, adolescent health behaviors, gender and social equity.

Her most recent research works include Human Resources in Health-Assessment of Paramedical Cadres in three selected states for JICA New Delhi, and Examining Gender Mainstreaming in Health Programs and Impact Assessment of GTZ support to Maharashtra for GTZ New Delhi and Assessment and Utilisation of RCH data for Advocacy and Policy Initiatives for PHFI New Delhi.

She is also engaged in voluntary work with few organizations working for disabled and youth, providing them support in planning various activities, including documentation.
