Chronic Care Foundation staged a Magic show at the Health Mela organised by the Hope Charitable Trust at the Shiv Mandir, Behind Sarai Kale Khan bus stand on Tuesday, 3rd February 2009.

The show was performed by the magician Mohd. Iqbal of ‘The Great Magic Show’. The audience comprised of approximately 200-250 people from the adjoining slum/ resettlement colony with a gathering of 70-80 children in the age group of 8-17 years of age.

The magic show focused on spreading the information on prevention of Chronic Diseases and also outlined the importance of regular exercise, healthy eating, sanitation and hygiene for the young. The magician clubbed the educational and entertainment tricks by involving the audience.

At the end of the show the magicians invited 4-5 children on the stage and asked them question about the prevention of the NCCDs spoken about in the magic show. The children were able to answer all basic questions and were rewarded with paper magic tricks from the magician.
