National Program on Prevention of Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases (NPPNCCD)

Geographical Area Covered Under the Program

The National Program will cover 17 districts in 17 states in India namely West Bengal, Assam, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. The selection of these regions has been based primarily on the research findings  carried out by CCF across these very regions of India to understand the quality, gaps, cost of care and service delivery for chronic diseases. The research study was conducted in 2008-09 to obtain reliable data on the care practices and cost of care for chronic diseases.
