THE FOLLOWING STRATERGIES WERE ADOPTED TO ATTAIN THE DEFINED OBJECTIVES:

•	Objective 1: To effectively raise the priority accorded to NCCD in developmental work at National levels and lobby to integrate prevention and control of such diseases into policies across all government departments.
	Round table of specialists in four regions culminating in a National Conference in Delhi, the outcome of which is expected to be advocacy papers for four regions and a National paper of recommendations to the government. The media workshop cum conference of experts. Media Workshop at Amritsar, Punjab Parents Awareness Camp at Sir Gangarm Hospital, New Delhi National and International - Level Advocacy meetings.
•	Objective 2:To promote interventions to reduce the main shared modifiable risk factors for NCCD: tobacco use, unhealthy diets, physical inactivity and harmful use of alcohol
	Training/Capacity Building of NGO Staff Magic Shows Street Theatres School level Interventions Women oriented programmes Community health talk shows
•	Objective 3: To effectively use research for prevention and control of NCCD
•	Objective 4: To build and promote partnerships for prevention and control of NCCD
	Public Private partnership for Tobacco Control - Pilot project in partnership with Pfizer India Ltd. Building institutional linkages. Consensus Conference on National Physical Activity Guideline in partnership with National Diabetes Obesity and Cholesterol Foundation (N-DOC). CHRONIC RHEUMATIC CONDITIONS PROJECT - An approach towards awareness and management of Osteoarthritis Conditions. Urban Health Talk Show. IMA orientation.
