ANCHAL Charitable Trust [ACT] is an independent, professionally managed   institution extending effective development facilities in the field of education and health with extra attention to the  economically depressed  segments and, the social welfare sector in India.

ACT was established in 1993 with the coming together of like-minded professionals from different areas of activity, bound together by a common goal - the 'Rights of the Child',  to improve the quality of life and, enhance their capability to become productive participants  in the social  environment of tomorrow. This core group believed that this could be achieved only through better health, education and an enhanced capability to deliver acceptable work standards today to meet the stringent demands  of tomorrow.

ACT activity covers two strategic programme areas - Health and Education. The focus is on children in difficult circumstances - children, mentally challenged, from the under privileged sections of society. ACT, from its inception, established its strength as an institution, conducting pinpointed programmes involving the cooperation, support and understanding of entire families to tackle the problem.
A proper comprehension by parents and other family members, of the vital role they play in rehabilitating the child is stressed, to ensure maximum achievement of the end goal of rehabilitating individual personalities. The goal was to establish the identity of the child and her/his problem, not as an individual isolated entity but as an integral part of the entire family.

ACT VISION:
The future of any society depends on the future of its children. In a  society based on sustainable development, the needs of a child must receive top priority. To care and protect every child irrespective of her/his ability or disability is the responsibility of a civilized society.
