His pioneering cardiovascular epidemiological studies attracted attention of many Indian and international investigators. The Indian Council of Medical Research conferred his team a national award in 1997. |
He is involved with various Scientific Researches like Epidemiological Research, Genetics and Stem-cell based Research |
He has been involved in many multisite clinical and epidemiological studies such as Women’s Health Project (AIIMS, Delhi), DEMAT Study (AIIMS), POLYCAP Study
(St. John’s). |
He is associated with various committees such as ICMR, DST and MOH and multiple ethics committees. |
| He collaborates extensively with the University of Rajasthan (Departments of Statistics, Home Science, Botany and Zoology) and more than a dozen students have completed their PhD thesis under his guidance. |

Dr Gupta has also been publishing a quarterly journal, South Asian Journal of Preventive Cardiology, for the last one decade. |
