| Research Project |
Chronic Care Foundation (CCF) seeks to impact availability and affordability of healthcare by ensuring medically approved best practices are widely followed, ensuring supportive policies are put in place by Govt. and Regulators, that lead to reduced risks (such as discounts for non-smokers in health insurance), focus on underlying risk factors, commonly accepted and understood, cutting across the disease spectrum and most of all speedy execution.
|
Therefore, CCF seeks to be the focal point of public stakeholder effort leading to prevention by Generating more knowledge and information of current diagnosis and treatment in different parts of the country through niche market research and analysis.
|
CCF takes forward its responsibility and mission with a three level strategy: Education by creating Awareness, Advocacy and Policy and Knowledge through niche Research. For this, it relies and ensures that there is dependable statistics and data, particularly from the primary and secondary level, for any policy decision or meaningful discussion with the stakeholders through research in niche areas of the disease spectrum covered. |

In our first two years of operation, CCF needed to chart a path forward and identify areas which needed special attention and action. Hence, the idea of our first research project was initiated. The first project covered the arena of Non-communicable diseases, while analysing the Gaps, quality and cost of care. More about the project that has been completed is given below: |

The study was conducted in two stages, exploratory and survey stage. The Target groups for this study were Medical Service Providers and Beneficiaries-both affected and unaffected and experts in the field. The geographical coverage and sample size is across four regions of India and two levels i.e. Urban and Rural.
