Dr Sanjiv Saxena

Senior Consultant & Head, Department of Nephrology, Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute for Liver, Renal & Digestive Diseases, Press Enclave Marg, New Delhi.

Dr. Sanjiv Saxena passed his MBBS in 1983 and MD (Medicine) in 1987 from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He was awarded his Super specialization – DNB in Nephrology in first attempt in May 1990 from AIIMS.   He worked as a Senior Resident in the Department of Medicine and Department of Nephrology at AIIMS, New Delhi from 1988 to 1991 and as Assistant Professor, Department of Nephrology, AIIMS, till November 1996. He joined as a Senior Consultant Nephrologist in Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute, Sheikh Sarai – II, New Delhi since November 1996 and presently is the Head of the Department, Nephrology since 1st March 2007.
Dr. Saxena has been awarded by many awards and fellowships, few of which are: Sir Dorabjee Tata Award for Biochemistry 1979-80; Institute Book Prize for Pharmacology 1981; Institute Scholarship 1982;  Fellowship of the Geriatric Society of India 2003;  Fellow of the Indian Society of Nephrology at the 35th Annual Conference of ISN at Varanasi: Nov 18-20, 2004.
He is member of  Indian Society of Nephrology; Delhi Nephrology Society; Editorial Board “Drug Alert”; Association of Physicians of India; Indian Society of Organ Transplantation;  Inspection Committee for Organ transplantation, Department of Health, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Saxena is a guest speaker in various events, few of which are:  Delhi Nephrology Society Every year since 1992; Diabetic Forum 1992, 1999, 2001 and Continuing Medical Education Programme 1995, Dept. of Medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi . ctober 7-8, October 1995.
