Sanjiv Verma is an independent consultant and advisor with specific interests in Strategic positioning and planning, as well as people engagement and skill enhancement. Over a 37 year career spanning manufacturing, marketing and general management with leading multi-nationals, he has gained knowledge and experience of a diverse range of businesses. The last 15 years also included Asia leadership positions, relating to Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Disposables associated with chronic disease and life threatening conditions. At present he is an independent Director on company Boards and advisor to an infrastructure JV.

Prior to his retirement from full time working end March 2008, he was General Manager of Baxter Healthcare Corp., India and South East Asia. Baxter is a global, diversified healthcare company that assists medical professionals in delivery of critical therapies to patients with life threatening conditions. Prior to this, he headed a number of businesses of ICI in India, including Synthetic Fibers, Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals, and Polyurethanes; during his career with that company over 1971-1996. He has led acquisitions as well as divestments, and provided leadership to global multi-disciplinary projects on a number of occasions.
