Dr A. Shahin Sultana
Dr. A. Shahin Sultana is Associate Professor in Department of Social Work, University of Delhi. She is M.A. (Social Work), M.Phil (Social Work) from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore; M.A. (Human Rights and Duties Education) from University of Madras, Chennai and Ph.D (Social Work) from University of Madras, Chennai.  She is University Rank Holder in both Graduation (1995) and Post Graduation (1997) and won the UGC (JRF and SRF Fellowship) for Doctoral Studies, (2002 -2005).

Dr. Shahin Research studies are titled ‘Dalit Girl Child’ for National Entity for Social Action (NESA – CHOLAI), Chennai, for the Dept. of Social Work, Loyola College, Chennai and  ‘Assessing the Quality of Institutional Child Care Providers in Delhi’ for the SOS Children’s Villages of India, 2007 for the Dept. of Social Work, University of Delhi in 2004 and  2007 and respectively.

Dr. Shahin is associated with TN-FORCES (Tamil Nadu Forum for Creche and Child Care Services), Chennai; Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children, Delhi; Indian Sociological Society, Delhi and is on the Editorial Board of Women’s Link (Journal), Delhi and  Journal of School Social Work, Chennai.
Her areas of interest are Family and Child Welfare, Early Childhood Care and Development (Nutrition, Health, Education, Protection), Case Work, Counselling, Youth Welfare and Disaster Management.
